I don't know how I've managed to avoid it up to now but it's been pouring rain all day today and I was due to run. So off I went! LOVED IT! Week 4 Run 2, was so busy jumping over/running through puddles and trying not to get washed into the burn (stream) that had burst it's banks and was all over the path, I hardly noticed that I was running.
Now the challenge - to dry out my running shoes for Friday!

I had my first run in the rain today too. Had the park all to myself. It was nice not to be too hot and sweaty. Well done on your run. Hope I 'hardly notice' week 4 too, lol.
I love running in the rain! I always used to think those people were mad, as I drove past them in my car....now i'm one of them!!!
Tip for drying out your trainers... stuff tightly with newspaper overnight... the newspaper absorbs the water, and helps the shoe and the insole to retain it's shape, and not to shrink or mishape when drying...
It works well for me...if u find that after a few hours the newpaper feels quite damp...just change it for some new stuff...it all depends on how many puddles u decided to run straight thru
I used to think people that ran in the rain were stupid, but I've changed my mind & think there's nothing better. I never thought I would enjoy getting cold & wet but the Buzz you get when you run in wind & rain is brilliant.
