Wow can't believe I've done the first week. 1st day was the toughest. After that I just tried to focus as best I could. Looking forward to the second week. What a fantastic feeling when the run is done. Good luck to all and seriously recommend this. Hope I will be saying the same after week 2. Wish me luck.

You will!

Well done you... slow and steady... take the rest days, with some non impact strength and flex or other exercise on those days too.:) All helps to build up core strength and stamina for the runs ahead!

Listen to your body and keep posting too, for great support and encouragement!

Well done!

Starting the programme is definitely the hardest part.

Good luck with the rest of the plan, keep us up to date with your progress.

Have my W2R1 tomorrow.

Looking forward to getting it done so that I can then just 'repeat' for R2 and R3

Well done! Like you, I found the first day the toughest. After that - not too bad. I've just done w2r2. Week 2 is, for me, definitely a step up from week 1, but it's completely doable.

I find the rest days really important. Laura and I will be out again on Friday, completing week 2. Looking forward to it already.

Good luck Townson for week 2.

Thank you just completed w2r1 blimey it was tough but the recovery was nice and quick. Will keep trying. Tomorrow a day off rest may try the strength and exercise plan which sits in between the run days.

Great you've done Week 1 which is undoubtedly the hardest. Going from doing nothing to something is a big step. And now you're not quite such a newbie, you're on the running experience road. Good luck for next weeks runs

Well done again, now get R3 done and you really don't count as a newbie... Almost seasoned campaigner, no seriously moving onto W3 made me feel this was the 'proper' running, although frankly every run is. Keep up the good work.

Ps if you want or need help, sometimes for your weekly posts it's better to create a new one rather than a reply stream update from the previous week or run. Some people on here specifically look at the tagged posts for the week they are interested in. Especially useful once you hit the longer running intervals and maybe interested in receiving feedback/assistance.
