Complete shambles

Very disappointed to say the least, I struggled with the last two runs and if I'm honest I ended up skipping them so unfortunately for me no real progress this week I'm gutted, I think the most sensible thing to do now is to repeat week one as giving up is no option😞

Don't give up. You can do this 👍🏻

Not a shambles, just a minor setback. Be determined, give yourself a little 'talking to' and start Week 1 again. Good luck.

Don't get disheartened. If you need to go back and repeat those runs so be it. Listen to the mentors, slow right down and keep trying. You'll do it.

But you have still made progress - you've been out there trying for 3 more times than the previous week 😊

Please don't give up, you can do this. Maybe slow down? Slow and slower still is the mantra here. Your only goal is to keep moving - do not worry about distance. Just focus on your breathing and putting one step in front of the other. Good luck!

Repeat it but as slow as possible , that's how I had to do my week one and once you start off slow, this is something you can quicken later

You are very imprecise about what stopped you and why you skipped two runs.

Your running week does not have to coincide with a chronological week, so you just repeat the last run that you failed to complete. Each time you do it you will get stronger. That is the level you have reached and that is the challenge you need to overcome. There is no need to go back to W1.

You say giving up is not an option, so I can see there is no motivation problem. Stay positive, go as slow as you need to............ possibly much slower than you think........speed is unimportant, the duration is the only challenge. You can do this.

Hey camran, you're not giving up you're trying and it hasn't quite worked. The best advice I ever read is not to get hung up on the concept of a week. Some folk on here will tell you they took closer to 9 months than 9 weeks to finish the programme . It doesn't matter one iota. So repeat Week 1, maybe repeating it will give you greater self belief. But as you see all these lovely people believe in you. No run is a wasted run, it build stamina and kms. You want to do it, because you posted here.. very best wishes next time you run. And you will!

Although I am cautious about commenting on the basis of a very few posts; you seem like a driven sort of guy. I wonder if you need to be a little kinder with yourself... It doesn't all need doing right now. Be slow and steady and you will achieve your goals. Too quick and you are in danger of crash and burn.

six out of the 8 runs is not a catastrophe. It just means your starting level of fitness is managing six sixty seconds runs. Keep doing it until you can add a seventh, and then an eighth. It doesn't matter how long that takes. Progress is progress.

Hi there, same here! I've had a few setbacks and had to start again. It was worth it as now I'm starting week 5 next week! Never thought I'd get that far with it. I think I did week 1 about 3 time over a few months, and then got lazy with week 2. I had to force myself to this point, and I'm shocked to find I'm actually starting to enjoy the exercise, and I definitely feel fitter.

Beauty of this programme is that you don't have to complete it in 9 weeks just go at your own pace and you will get there. Don't see it as a failure see them as practise runs. You can do this x
