Am going to stay around for a bit but am looking for a running forum now I've graduated. Can anybody recommend a general running forum. Also somewhere to find local races in my area. I have looked at a few but there are different races on each one.

I don't use the forums, hehe, I spend all my spare time on here but I have used Running bug for looking up races and when I did have a look round they looked quite friendly. Garmin connect also have a forum as far as I know but I'm not sure about race info. Endomondo has forums and I think they do races as well. A lot of the running magazines have races on the back pages so you can look there as well. I think you will be quite surprised when you start looking around just how much is actually out there. Forum wise I think there is one for Runtastic and mapmyrun as well.

I know there is also a NHS C25K branch on the Garmin connect and on Facebook. On Facebook they have the C25K beyonders and we often meet up with them for the Winter run in January, that is a great day out.

It is a closed group so you would have to request to join.

thank you :) Got it

I'd echo what Realfoodieclub says about Running Bug- very friendly and a mine of useful info on the site in general

I stay here too. We have the 10k forum and the race support forum, so plenty of chat. Oh and the push yourself fitness forum, or should I say Community

Did You Run Today on facebook is a tremendous group. very inclusive regardless of whether you are running 100 mile ultra marathons or W1 of C25k

This is a good site for races throughout the country:

fetcheveryone.com/race.php or Runners World have a list.

Or I go directly to the organisers web site... these are a few I use (just google them). As i'm in the South West they may be more for this region... not sure where you are :

White Star Running

Full on Sport

Active

DB Max

Beyond Events

Relish Running

Other Forums...

This ones the best!!! :-)

But I do browse at Running Bug, Runners World and Runners Connect every now and then. :-)

I use runabc Scotland for races. They do other regions of the UK too. Another idea is to check out the website for your local running club as they often post race details.
