I'm sure that this happens sometimes. I went out for my run. I was just going to do a 3.2k circuit this evening. After a 5 min warm up walk off I went, running at a good 5:41/km pace and feeling comfortable, just getting into my stride when 1.5km into my run nature called. No I would say nature screamed. I stopped, did a 180 and sheepishly walked home.😳
I'll run again tomorrow instead. Bloody nature. 😀

Thanks. Yes I can go at that pace for a couple of kilometres now, I was going to attempt a sub 6:00/km 3k as a training run. Still trying to hold that pace for 5k, not there yet.
Oops ... good lesson there that it is possible to overhydrate though. If that wasn't the call of nature specifically, then I think we best leave it there!
Yes, this happens to many of us. It's to do with the repetitive joggling, as it were. There's a scientific explanation of it all, but suffice to say that it has made many of us turn for home, or worse, hop into a nearby field
