Today I decided as I was in the area I would try a new route. Cold and trying to throw hail stones at me. Didn't really know where I was going so was just winging it really. Started off and felt very heavy and didn't think I was going to be able to do the whole 30 minutes. I'd had a plate of porridge an hour and a half beforehand so thought I'd feel up for it. There were quite a few options of take the uphill or go straight on. I went up! On the last hill I only kept going because I'd just passed a restaurant with lots of people looking out of the window. I just imagined they were all taking bets on whether I'd make it or not π I thought I'd add a minute on as part of my consolidation but even so I still didn't make the 5k which was kind of disappointing in a way as last time I graduated (well over a year ago now) I was managing the 5k. Does a year make so much difference? I'm also wondering if my diet needs tweaking - am I not eating enough protein/something? π€·ββοΈ Any advice/little gems gratefully received.
PHEW! THAT WAS A JOB...: Today I decided as I... - Couch to 5K
PHEW! THAT WAS A JOB...
Well done, stinking weather!
Yes, a year can make a lot of difference so don't be too hard on yourself. You'll get back to 5k don't worry ππ»π
I've just signed up for your timed magic plan so let's hope so!π
You're mixing me up with ju-ju- but that's ok, it's a fab plan and will really help you. Good luck! ππ»π
Seems we both had the same weather today and I've done the ' can't stop now people are watching' thingπ€£
Your 5k will happen again , perhaps when we get some warm sunshine. I hopeππ
In that weather Iβd just be chuffed Iβd got out and completed the hilly run, forget the speed. Keep going and your running will progress.
Thanks. I do hope so. Those hills were a killer π©
Looks like a complicated run. Well done for getting out there ππ
Itβs a cat, right? Holding a bludgeon?
Haha! Yes could be π€π€£
That's an amazing time! Well done for keeping going x
