We hoped if we went a bit earlier than usual there would be less people and there were until we hit the sea front
There was a little sand by the waves so i ran along there then along the path at the top crosses the road and ran back to our favourite place
Birdsong, trees, yup we enjoyed it, Willow went 4k and I did 5 k we have come home red sweaty and so happy
Be safe stay strong and run if you can
I virtually waved at Maddie to the east of us and long for the day we can run that way and see family and friends and maybe even Maddie my virtual local ish running buddy
This week I’ve read No run intended and now reading Run intended by Hannah Phillips where she tells us what a great programme couch25k is and what a fantastic thing Parkrun is amongst a lot of descriptive running and racing, it’s both sad at times and so so funny
Not sure i’m allowed to plug a book and will remove if not but not really plugging it just pleased to see c25k mentioned in a running book
A friend just sent me this of her walk on the beach and as I didn’t take photos.....

Morning both!! Your run sounds idyllic. I'd love to get back to the beach but I'm afraid it's too far to drive in these times. It will be lovely when we can get back to a little bit of normality. You keep me going with your posts😊
Hi Willow and Sola, during this lockdown I have been getting out as allowed at least once a day, sometimes twice if I take my neighbours dog a walk, on a Sunday its a bike ride, on a Monday Thursday and Friday it's a good walk, Tuesday is my main shopping day, changed the store I go to the nearest where I live.
Wednesday and Saturday are my running days, a longer run on a Wednesday, next Wednesday I intend to run 9k, of course on a Saturday morning it's the virtual 5K parkrun, so like both of you W&S I am getting out in the fresh air every day.
Well planned Al, I walk to work and sometimes Willow picks me up then we have a short run before coming home, we don’t have a neighbours dog and just too far to share daughters as we usually do, there are more people out now and more traffic too
That last point is interesting, same where I live in Central Scotland, I have also noticed that the roads are busier and there are more people about, for the last six weeks our local Spar shop has closed at 8pm, but because of demand from customers it is now open to 10pm as normal, things are now beginning to get back to normal, however, as far as I am concerned, things won't be back to normal until parkruns are back, it looks that parkruns may resume in countries like New Zealand and Ireland before they resume in the UK.
I think people started the lock down very scared and stayed inside, then a couple of weeks ago the government said we can drive a little way for exercise as long as the exercise was longer than the drive and everyone, here at least, got in their cars again, I mostly walk to and from work and that’s because my car is off the road, it’s really much busier than the first 3 weeks, i also think people are beginning to think if they haven’t caught it yet they are ok and won’t. Our local hospitals are less busy and re starting treating other illnesses again such as re opening the chemo suite, we shall have to wait a bit longer to see if the extra people out are going to cause a raise in infections,
