Well, the wedding in Spain is over and my beautiful daughter Stevie is now married to her new husband David and all is well with the world.

I did complete W8 before I went to Spain but it was far too hot to go running out there as the temperature was generally above 30 degrees before breakfast!

So.... now I've got to get back on course for C25K 'Graduation'. I'm sure that I won't be able to pick up where I left off, so I think I'll just go for a run tonight and see how I get on. I was wondering if anyone else had experience of starting running again after a holiday. Did you get back into it easily?

I've put the picture up here because I know that a few of my friends on this wonderful forum will be interested. By the way... the pretty one is my daughter :)

Lovely photo!

I've not had a holiday break from running, but I would say just go out and see how you get on. I wouldn't have thought you will have lost much fitness.

Thanks SC1472. I can't wait to get out there in sensible temperatures :)

She's beautiful!!! :)

As for your return run - just take it easy, don't put pressure on yourself :) I've come back from trips and sometimes surprised myself and sometimes it's taken a week to bounce back :)

She is the pretty one ! And you.. are the toned.. fitter running Dad! Yeay! I am glad you had such a lovely time, you were so looking forward to it :)

What a beautiful photograph! So, so happy!

Just a gentle run.. let your legs tell you what they want to do.. (ignore them if they say they are too tried to go).. enjoy the run and let the happy thoughts carry you lightly towards the Graduation podium! xx
