Up to W6 R1

Hi I was also ecstatic to do the W5 R3 20 minutes, but found that W6 R1 ("bah, piece of cake, 2 x 5 mins and 1 x 8 - done it before") was actually quite difficult! I face the future with trepidation!

Fear not. This is extremely common.

Fear ye not!! Having come this far, the only Gremlin that will defeat you is one of your own making - and if you do make on, Clobber it with that impressive looking Forearm smash you have wound up there all ready for delivery :)

This is such a common post - you're not alone on this. I know I too experienced the same thing!

I did this today - surprising isn't it? I had wondered though as many have posted similar feelings at this stage. They got to week 9 - so can we :)

I was exactly the same! Hated it and the way it made me feel, but I think it's a bit like childbirth in that you soon forget the pain!

Anyway, I did run 2 of week 6 yesterday and loved it! And now there are no more intervals! Bring on that 25 minutes!

Believe me, now that you have that run ticked off, you're on the home strait!

Keep running!

I was the same on Monday. I couldn't get into it and couldn't seem to find my stride. It was awkward for me. Enjoyed r2 today much more and looking forward to the straight run on Friday.

Yep, that was the run that clobbered me...I still remember it after all this time...move on the next one will be fine.

I must be odd. I found w5r3 nearly killed me (took 6 days for my legs to recover), and by comparison w6r1 was a joy, yet so many people struggle with it, it's very weird, why do others not see it as so much easier than a solid 20 minutes?!

This is what I expected too... I can't quite explain why it did not work out like that in reality!

I too found w5r3 tough and have just come back from w6r1 which felt so much easier?!? In 30 degree heat in Spain. I think the sea air spurred me on!

30 degree heat? Wow, dedication!!

I am so grateful for this forum... without it, I would have felt extremely weird for finding W6R1 harder than W5R3! It helps to see that this is so common
