I was slightly sceptical about this run but have to say it went ok. Knee played up a bit during the 8 min run but I ran through it and I did notice it doesn't take me anywhere near so long to get my breath back after each run as it did in first few weeks. Laura clearly knows what she is doing.

Well done! It's a lovely feeling when you start to notice improvements isn't it. I agree that Laura knows her stuff πŸ˜€

Thanks. Yes it is all coming together. When I did week 1 I was gasping for breath after the first 60 second run now I'm reasonably comfy running for 8 mins and as much as I enjoy the walk between runs I don't need it to catch my breath back in he same way.

Well done you, the programme is amazing isn't it.

Keep up the good work

Nice to read Titch121 it is always nice to start feeling and seeing the difference that this program is making to us all.

The difference between the first few week to you now, will be second to none!! I think it was about week 6 when I noticed my muscles were getting nice and toned. I could feel as I was walking more strength in my legs, I would just smile to myself!!

You are do brilliantly, keep going ;)

Well done twinny! Hard to believe I would be where you are if life hadn't got in my way, again 😑😑😑😭😭 so frustrated lol. I have landed going out next week with a friend to keep me motivated again! I'm going all the way back to week 1! Partly as a punishment, partly as my friend is new to it and partly because I think 2 weeks off will have set me back 😞😞😞😞

Keep going, you are doing sooooo well! I will keep in touch xx

Life has a habit of doing that Titchy21 (getting in the way) but you'll be back climbing up those weeks again before you know it. And we'll all be here waiting to cheer you on :)

Titchy21 Things happen and there is nothing we can do! The main thing is you are back.

I hope week One is good to you and your friend, keep us posted ;)

Oh twinny (aka Titchy21 ) Dont be disheartened look on it as a practice run. Running with your friend is a brilliant idea as it will motivate you both to keep going.

P.s. I still always think you are me when I see your posts :)

Haha I know I'm the same when you post lol. πŸ€”πŸ€”πŸ€”πŸ€”πŸ€” I have to think.....did I write that lol. Yeah I think it will do me no harm to go back to basics albeit a little frustrating I think in the long term it will benefit me too, hopefully my calf pain won't be as bad lol. Yeah I'm thinking someone else doing it with me will be good I used to go to the gym with her so I know she won't judge me and all my wobbly bits πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ keep going twinny do me proud πŸ˜„πŸ˜„

Titch121 you are doing SO well. Week 6 run 1 is known to be a difficult one following the w5 r3. You smashed it! This is when you really begin to see how far you've come and actually start to believe all the things people say about the programme working. Enjoy run 2 and keep an eye on that knee! :)

Well done you

Such an inspirational post and well done for doing w6 r1. Glad to hear that your recovery between runs is improving, gives me hope that this will happen for me. I must admit I too gasped at w1 runs but today on w3 r3 I didn't feel I needed the amount of walking time to recover. Maybe I am starting to make steps forward😊 well done you, and keep posting as its great reading all these comments.

Thank you Hidden its amazing how the progamme works. Like you I truly struggled on my very first week and even wondered if maybe I wasnt cut out for this after all. My knee hurt, my calves hurt, my ankles hurt, my back hurt and I was gasping for breath with every step. But somehow it has all fallen into place which isnt bad for a 58 year old ex smoker :)

You are nearly halfway through the programme now and it sounds like you have reached the turning point. Keep going - it definitely gets easier.
