Today was the day I completed W9R3 and graduated in C25K.
The last 9 weeks have been a real mixture of experiences. There have been days when I stuggled to keep going and others where I felt I could run forever. My prepartion has been the same for every run in terms of diet and hydration and no rhyme or reason why some runs are easier than others. One of my worst runs was on a lovely sunny day and one of my best in torrential rain.
I've been fortunate that I'm heading for retirement and only work 3 days a week so am able to pick my time to run to suit me. I take my hat off to those who fit their runs around busy lives and especially those who get up in the dark to run....you're amazing.
I've not made it to 5k, but gather not many people do....but hope to get there over the next few weeks.
I plan to keep on running and who knows, 10k, half marathon....
Through the last 9 weeks I've taken inspiration from everyone on this site and your feedback and encouragement has helped enormously, so thanks.
My next post will be when I get to 5k in 30 minutes...I hope it will be soon.
In the meantime ........I'll keep on running!!!

I graduated in June and still don’t run 5k in 30 minutes. My parkrun PB is now 33. I’ll hopefully get below 30 minutes one day but it probably won’t be soon. Ive been working on distance and got to 9k last week. Hoping to do 10k week after next.
Congratulations great effort and I hope you love retirement when it comes - lots of new opportunities for you to explore. Don't forget your graduation badge - see the link attached at right or bottom of your device
Great post and many congratulations to you! A new adventure is just beginning. I graduated over a year ago and still can’t get to 5k in 30 but I’ve got myself up to 10k slowly and surely. Just enjoy just getting out there and seeing what happens. Loads of good advice on here for what to do next. Happy running!
