New shoes w5 r1

Today was my first run in proper running shoes as I have just been running in my cheap canvas shoes (my bad!). They felt so good to run in if you don't have proper running shoes get some! I got mine in the sale at Sports direct. Although I managed to drop my phone twice today during my run it is luckily fine but maybe the new shoes are throwing my balance off haha! Today was a bit of a chilly run, the first one where I could see my breath because its getting colder. I was so proud of myself for keeping going after stopping on Tuesday when I did this run because I accidentally clicked off the app mid run! Can't wait to get past the week 5 milestones! And be able to conquer that 20 min run which I am kind of dreading! But seeing others posts about the 20 min run are keeping me optimistic!

I’ve got my 20 min run tomorrow (wk5r3). I’m nervous. I think my lungs can handle it but worried about my knees.

Good luck on yours...the shoes will definitely help 👣

Haha I am the opposite more worried about my lungs not great at pacing myself and then end up struggling to breath and keep going! Hope the run goes well tomorrow! You got this!

I’m cheating on a treadmill so pacing myself is no problem. Especially when I’m “running” approx 0.00003mph 😂.

Good luck with your breathing. Just guessing that’s slightly more important than sore knees.

Good run... nice shoe porn!

No way I can let little miss UNM see them, she loves purple and the pink bits would make them irresistible.

Don’t dread the 20... you can do it, you will do it, you’ll feel great at that finish line.

I relation to miss UNM - didn’t you see the words ‘sports direct’ and ‘sale’!! 😆 They’re comfy too.

You need to invest in a running belt to keep your phone in - very cheap and handy I got mine in decathlon x

Love the colour! Echo the response about a running belt to protect your phone, it’s great to have your hands free.

I bought those shoes after my unsuitable ones gave me foot problems. That was around week 5 too and I’ve had no problems since (foot problems that is - there are small hiccups with any running adventure!!). Good luck with week 5 - remember you CAN do it!
