The dreaded ' G's ' ambushed me once I got out of bed this morning; stiff back ache, tight hamstrings then when I put my shoes on left heel rubbing inside my shoe, shies to tight and, yes shoes to loose. But after the usual initial 5 - 7 mins struggle into my stride it was in the bag. The light at the end of the tunnel is getting brighter and I don't think its on oncoming express that's going to derail me; fingers crossed.

I do core stability exercise on my non running days. It keeps the muscle aches at bay.

Well done!
Make sure you are well hydrated every day...Plus the Strength and Flex exercises on rest days may help the aches and pains... walking , swimming or cycling can help too

Relax into the longer runs now... try to land lightly and just keep it slow and steady!
It's great that you went despite the challenges. I've found that rolling the muscles on a hard foam roller after a run or workout is an awesome way to keep the day-after ache at bay.
