Glorious day not only in terms of weather but also because I ran for 25 mins & felt good! Still slow but hey, not bad for this 69 year old! Felt much better than the 25 min last run on wk 6. My thoughts are now turning to what happens when I've finished week 9?
Wk7R1: Glorious day not only in terms of weather... - Couch to 5K

Hi 69 year old to another 69 year old .
Congratulations, your are so close .
I only graduated three weeks ago and Iโm slow too. Thatโs why I was able to make the 5K on my last week .
I started listening to PORUNNER , they have different BPM so you can try them out . In the end I downloaded the 148 BPM using this ever-time I go out, this keeps me plodding along nicely.
Iโm sure thereโs one out there to suit you too.
You will achieve your target . Keep jog n running .๐พ
Thanks for the tip but I couldn't find PORUNNER. IS it a specific app? I've just downloaded Strava which is recording my distance & speed (!!)
I use STRVA too , itโs great .
Let me know if this link works for you.

I downloaded a few different one . I tried 126 , but found this too slow . I just kept trying until I found myself settling into 148.
I was starting my runs to fast . 148 checks my start for me and I can now settle into a comfortable pace within a few strides.
STRVA gives me the motivation to say YES - I can run another .5 K , and I can choose to slow down if the hill is tiring me out ( we have a lot of hills around us).
Please let me know if the link works and if you find a beat that works for you too .
