I did it! I'll not deny it was tough over the past few weeks, and when the word GRADUATE flashed up on my app, I shed a little tear. If anyone had said to me 9 weeks ago that I'd be running for half an hour, I'd have laughed. My next goal is to run a bit longer and cover 5K (only managed 3.75K) but I'm just going to build myself up to it slowly.
Week 9 Run 3: I did it! I'll not deny it was... - Couch to 5K
Week 9 Run 3
Yay! Well done! Many congratulations πββοΈβοΈπ₯πΎπ π°
Thank you!
Congratulations ππ
Thanks, and congratulations to you, too!
Fantastic and many congratulations. It s a great achievement. Enjoy all your future runs.
Thank you, and congrats to you for graduating yesterday. This is just the beginning!
Fantastic! Now to keep it up. Have funπ
Thank you. Looking forward to longer runs and getting fitter.
Excellent - well done!
Wow well done its a tremendous feeling isn't it! You ran pretty much the same as me when I graduated. I just kept building up by about 3 minutes each week and I soon got to 5km which felt just as amazing (a second graduation if you like!). Congratulations!
Thank you! I will try to build up to 5K as you suggest, though I may need another week running for 30 minutes. I'd really love to be fit enough to do a Park run.
Huge Congratulations... very well done..Graduate !!!!
Thank you. I still can't believe I've actually done it!
Flipping marvellous! From one jogging granny to another - brilliant. π
Thank you! I feel fantastic. Granny power!
Congrats! to you you graduateππ
It's a great feeling when that's achieved. Now you'll go from strength to strength.
Happy running!ππ
Thank you. I just wish I'd started running when I was much younger.
Well I used to run a lot when I was in the army so....we're talking 37years ago,I've been married for 33years and didn't start again until 2015 but didn't actually start C25K until Feb this year ,my age is 59 so it doesn't matter when you start the great thing is ,that you did start ,so keep running and enjoy!ππ
I wanted something to do which would keep me reasonably fit and that I didn't have to drive to eg swimming pool leasure centre, both are miles away as I live out in the sticks .Anyhoo I can't ride a bike ,my husband keeps fit that way and he hates running so it seemed the obvious choice for me .I love it and like me I'm sure you will keep enjoying too!π
Happy running!
Yes, you're absolutely right. Better late than never. I started C25K with a lot of apprehension, thinking that I probably wouldn't be able to finish it, but I'm amazed at how much better I feel after only 9 weeks. Running is part of my life now, it doesn't cost anything and it can be done pretty much anywhere!
Good Job
Enjoy your running!
I'm 3 weeks postgrad and covering 5k now (I had a similar graduation speed to you). So it won't be longπππββοΈπ
Thank you. I'm looking forward to getting out next week and increasing my times. Slow and steady!
Many congratulations. Seeing your post makes me think I can get there too. I'm almost your age (but not a Grandma!!!) and am about to start week 5. I am a regular fell walker and cyclist but it's been a long time since I've run anywhere and boy, does my lower body confirm that. But, I'm keeping up the runs and intend to finish the programme. I shall think of you when the going gets tough!
Thank you. I had done hardly any exercise when I started (just a bit of Zumba) and my legs ached so much! I've had to dig really deep to complete the longer runs at the end but it has been so worthwhile in terms of my general wellbeing. I shall be following your progress. If I can do this, then you definitely can!
