Halted at w4

Feeling a bit discouraged. Was all going well, completed w4r1 and was feeling positive. But then came down with a sore throat, no voice and general fatigue. Had to Miss w4r2 and will not be able to run today either. Really hoping to be well enough to repick up next week and was planning to start on w4 again - does that sound right or should I go back to w3? V disappointed as it was going so well and I am never ill and this seems completely wrong time of year for this :(

Just do it when you feel better, Pickup where you left off.. don't worry about having some time off with a cold..

I had 7 days off and carried on where left off ie the next run.

Carry on once over cold.

Just like you I got a cold and lost my voice when I was on week 8. I took a week off to recover and got straight back in where I left off. Don't worry and don't be discouraged. It's just a small blip. You'll get through it.

As davelinks says... pick up where you left off.. slow and steady..Summer colds, pollen allergies, hot dry weather..it can play havoc... Just keep it slow and steady and when you feel well enough..head off out there:)

Sadly summer cold turned into a chest infection so still haven't managed to return to running. But antibiotics finish this week and am feeling better than I was if not quite 100%. So determined to get back to running and planning first run back on Wed.... posting here really to try to make sure that i do stick to it :)
