I completed week 3 today (yay!) but now all I can think about is how scared I am about my next run! I don't feel like I'm ready to run for 5 mins straight.. and it feels like a big step up from running 9 mins in total to 16!!
What's everyone else's experience of the step up to week 4?

Rule number Two of the programme is don't look forward at what you are doing next week, next run. Just focus on what you are doing now, and if that is rest day, then rest, and don't stress.
The programme has been worked out by people who know what they are doing and 99.99% of the time works a dream. Physically you will be ready to step up from one run to the next. The mind game is another matter. If you talk yourself out of something you will struggle. If you remind yourself that the programme works and you just have to follow it to succeed, then you will.
Thanks Rignold. I think that's probably the best idea not to look ahead! I'd been really enjoying the programme up until today and I feel looking ahead has spoiled my week 3 glory a bit.. will let you all know how it goes with week 4 on Friday!
Week 4 was absolutely fine for me! But am experiencing similar trepidation for Week 5 ( first run complete, but second and third runs step up). But given everyone's encouraging comments I just have to tell myself (and you should tell yourself) "You can do it!"
Commitments prohibited me from doing W5R2 early this morning (preferred time as it's still cool outside) and will probably attempt at about 9pm this evening, when the temp is predicted to be a "mere" 25 degrees C!
I did it!! I literally just kept telling myself "I can do this" over and over as I was running. It was by far the hardest run I've done yet but I survived 😊 thank you all for your support! X
