Week 4, run 1 (attempt 2)

I was really nervous about the step up to 5 mins running at week 4. Sunday morning, I set out for week 4, run 1 after a day lifting heavy garden posts - it didn't go well (back pain). So I redid it tonight after work - the run sections were very slow but I did it! Feeling a real sense of achievement.

Well done... slow is fine... especially after such hard work!

Thank you - this weekend, I will be running BEFORE starting the hard landscaping!

I’m due to go up to week 4 and the 5 minute run worries me, thinking about doing week 3 again.

I think the thought of it was worse than doing it but I am definitely doing this at my own pace - it's taken me 5 weeks to get this far (and I slowed my running speed down to something around 'tortoise going through wet cement' for the 5 min!)

Hi

Well done!!!!

I did W3 twice and have done W4 R1 twice. I'm finding the 5 mins run pretty tough. My legs feel so heavy and I have to go at a snail's pace. I think I'll be doing W4 twice but at least we're getting out there! I'm 54 and hadn't done much exercise for years if ever so this is great. Good luck

Thanks - I feel week 4 might be longer than a week - but like you, I'm getting out and making progress. At the start of this, I didn't think I had a 5 min run (or 16 mins total running) in me but I've done it. Good luck to you too.
