I haven't posted here in ages. Having been on the IC for some time and then gradually getting back into my stride I was finding running quite a chore and didn't seem to be enjoying it anymore. This weekend, on a trip to sing in Paris with The London Symphony Chorus, I had hoped to get in time for a run.
Usually the Queen of Faff, I had hoped for a good start this morning, especially as I was sharing a room with a mother singer who wanted a lie in.
And fate was against me:
• woke early, and stumbled around in the dark trying to find my kit without waking room mate
•No leggings/Capri pants
•in my attempt to get out without disturbing too much forgot to go to the loo
•locked myself out of the room so couldn't go back in
But I was determined, so dressed in my leisure shorts (pockets, zip, belt) decided to replace the belt with my running belt,. Warmed up in the fitness room and discovered a convenient "convenience" within, and then I was off.
The run through Le Parc Villette provided me with some interesting running spaces, and then I was alongside a canal. There were several runners about. Now I know my French isn't great, and that I also find speaking when running something of a challenge, but you would think they could have acknowledged my attempts at saying good morning. I didn't mind though, as I was getting into my rhythm and my Mojo suddenly made a reappearance! 😀
After about 4K I came back, and was rewarded, in a different part of the park, with an outdoor exhibition of African art.
Hot happy, and rewarded with a big Parisian breakfast. 😀
Now to get ready for some serious singing.
