My journey started on 6th March on a treadmill at the gym where like many I struggled to run for 1 minute and couldn't see how I would get to Week 2 let alone the end. Around Week 5, after reading so many positive posts I transitioned outside leaving the treadmill behind. It was tough - I found it much harder - so much to consider even simple things like tying hair back so I could see - there was weather, dogs, cars, hills (well slopes really π). But I persevered, going back a couple of weeks and repeating until I was comfortable. Today I did it week 9 run 3 and wanted to share particularly with those who are just starting you can do this - believe and stick with it - I am fitter, feel better and really wish i hadn't left it until I was 51 to try this. I love being outside on my early run - I call to the chickens, talk to the rabbits (not sure they listen). I love the weather and am even learning to love 'hills' All of this is thanks to the program and all of the inspirational posts here. Thank you xxx
Thank you. Week 9 run 3 done: My journey started... - Couch to 5K

And yes .. I chatted ( well through puffed breath) to hens rabbits birds sheep and so on during couch to 5k. In one run I remember a group of young bullocks ran along me in their field parallel to the road. I decided they were encouraging me but was grateful for the feNce between us..
