Week 9 - last week best week?

I finally managed to finish week 8 on Wednesday- starting off the run outside but the awful weather ( cold and very wet) drove me inside to my comfort station -otherwise known as the gym treadmill. However even 10 mins of running outside was enough to make me think that I cannot run outside at all- knees knackered and legs distinctly tired all day after that.

Tomorrow morning I run with my husband, outside for 30 mins . To be honest I am both in a state of fear and dread so please give me some support? Looking forward to running outside (love the idea) but really frightened as well that I will fall at the last hurdle. My husband is a fast good runner and he will support me but he thinks that a 30 min run is nothing...

This is the final week so should be up for it and I know that it is all in my head but my head noise is pretty loud at the moment!

Just take it at your own pace. You will be fine

Go for the run and do as much as you can. Look on it as another 25 minute that you’ve already done and add the 5 on if you can. I guess, like me, you feel so near to the end you’ll complete it. Go girl!

Maybe ask your husband to run in loops around you so you can just go gently at your own pace with no pressure. That works for Mr E & me because I am a newbie snail and he is an experienced gazelle.

Put fear & dread aside - not helpful running companions- relax and enjoy your run. 😄

PS - running outside is so much easier than trying not to fall of a treadmill! 😂
