W6 R3 in the rain

Very nearly got up and then crawled back into bed this morning on hearing the rain. First 25 minute run, first run in the rain. Totally nailed it! (Full disclosure - right hip a bit achy but I'm ignoring the blighter)

One unexpected bonus of all this running (apparently I am a runner now, thank you Mr Johnson) is discovering that I have abdominal muscles! Who knew?!!

Still going strong and absolutely loving it. Bring on week 7!

Woohoo well done. This was the point I loved - the start of the long runs. Sadly I ignored and injury which got worse and am now sidelined with just 3 runs till graduation.

W7 will be great, and you've got a run in the rain under your belt as well. You are a runner, as Mr Johnson says, and you have worked hard to get there.

Sometime I think I'd like to email Michael Johnson to say how much he's helped me! Looking forwards to week 7. I hope your injury heals up soon though 👍

Well done, both on the run and braving the elements. I'm on a rest day today... but have W6R3 to look forward to in the morning

Keep it slow, and keep it steady... you are doing brilliantly... So many folk braving the elements today :)

Make sure the hip feels okay.. you may find these helpful? I use WR exercises a lot :)

I followed your advice re a peaked cap for the rain- Borrowed one of Mr Wheels'.

Must've looked a fright but who cares, I could see through my glasses :)

I ran in the rain but it was a disaster so going to have to repeat w6r2!!!

Gutted but I just couldn't run in the rain plus it was like Gail force winds I couldn't see anything and my headphones kept falling out!!

Hoping I will have more success in the morning!!

You'll do it!!! Just get your trainers on and get out the front door - that's the hardest part for me! Good luck :)
