Week 8 completed but now gremlins have set in

I completed week 8 on Thursday and came back looking like an over ripe tomato. So off I go over the weekend to start week 9 and 5 minutes in I had an almighty stitch which I could not shake and so gave up. Now the gremlins are in my head with all sort of doubts ☹️

Disappointing but honestly no biggie, you're still only 3 runs off graduating.

Indeed it isn't a bad thing to experience a bad run during the programme, just so you know they happen *and they don't mean anything* Look how far you got beyond the suggestions for coping with stitch given in the programme, before encountering it! Wasn't that back in Week 1 or 2?

It is also not unusual for people to have a wee wobble as they approach the finish line - you've been given this great tool, the ability to run and you know that it is down to you now to use it and that can be a bit scary. Some people find it helps to have a bit of a "What next?" plan - even if it is "3x30 minutes a week" or "Yippee my own playlist!" or "C25K+ podcasts here I come"

You'll be reet.

From the C25K website: "You will have good runs and bad runs. Accept it and don’t spend too much time analysing the how and why. Even a bad run is good for you."

Thanks. I went for a run tonight and I did it. Ran for 30 minutes. I did get a stitch but I kept going. Thank you so much for the encouragement.
