Ok so day 1 is officially done! Results of which are:

1. Headache

2. Tomato face!

3. Jelly legs

4. Pride!

It was hard going and I seriously can't see myself running 5k!!!! Does it get easier???

Not necessarily easier...but you get stronger... with every run you do :)

Headache... it is so humid at the moment.. so take it slow and make sure you are hydrated.

Tomato face.... great...just one of the shades we all wear or have worn, on here :)

Jelly legs ? Slow and steady, ( especially at the moment)... take it very gently and try to relax :)

The pride bit... keep that, and take it with you on every single run. :)

5K... forget... the idea is to get to thirty minute runs, injury free and having had fun... and we are with you all the way :)

You'll get there, pace yourself. If you're like me, a complete non runner, you'll surprise yourself with your accomplishments every week. I struggled with w3r1 this Monday, and I did the same run tonight only to find it was so much easier!

Give your body time to adjust to your new regime and keep up with it - the pride is SO worth it!

It really is worth it! Legs are hurting today but feel motivated to go again tomorrow! Well done you're doing so well :) this is the first time ever for me to run!!!! Complete beginner but wanting to be a happy runner :)

I graduated this week and I'm still a tomato face. 🍅 today especially in the heat! Make sure you are drinking plenty of water, even before you go. I find I'm much better at running on days where I'm drinking loads!

Great advice, thank you! Hopefully my face will dilute to watermelon coloured soon!! Haha

Drink more water on your rest days...and after your run. Don't down a big glass before you head out or you may need to pee!😉

Gentle leg stretches after your warm down walk can help too.

Thanks Jan, learnt that lesson straight away. Legs are hurting today!!

just started the 5th run and left calf got a knot, but I kept going and used the 90 seconds to stretch...will get hubby to rub it out later. On plus side I never cried 😂
