First ever attempt at running today - I'm feeling so proud! It was soooo hard and after the 40 mins I was completely spent. I've definitely got a long way to go and it's hard to imagine I'll ever run 5k, but I've jumped the first hurdle and feel great about it!
Anyone got any tips for a complete beginner?

Hi you've started the programme,so I've done W1R2 I think for me it is pace yourself lightly jog , I'm just trying to get my breathing right at mo , do what works for you I ache once I'm finished but stretching before and after us important
Well done. Advice? Stick with the program and remember to keep it slow (often slower than you think). Stretching is important, both before and after. Rest days are just as important as the running days to allow your body to recover. Most of all, enjoy it And keep posting here. The advice and encouragement you will get is amazing.
