After spending the best part of an hour resurrecting my new trainers from the darkest depths of the bottom of my wardrobe and also finding some suitable attire to wear.... I have been out for my first run/walk.
First attempt of jogging resulted in me pulling up as the pain in the joints in my 2 toes on my right foot... continued to walk. It then came for the second run in the sequence and went past some fishermen around a pond who must of thought a steam train was coming by. Walked the rest of the time but jogged for some of the final run. It has hi lighted on how unfit and potato like I have be come and it is scary.
It then got me in thinking whether this is a ploy of my husband - Tenerife2018 to kill me off to get the life insurance!!!
Not going to give up, but will continue to do the week one program until I can jog for 60 seconds.
As I will be walking with a tiny bit of jogging until I can get my time jogging up, I am going out daily.
Feeling hot and bothered πππ and I did not need one of these π

It gets easier. Remember not to try to run too fast. It doesn't really have to be a lot faster than the brisk walk, just a light jog, take it really slowly and in time you will feel comfortable going faster.
Well done for getting started. Just take it slowly like a snail. Perhaps it would be better to walk on your alternate days so that your muscles get the rest and repair they need from the running even if itβs not the full run. Trust the programme And youβll do great.
Yes the start of the C25K has a way of testing your fitnesss. But rest assured, you would see and feel the improvements, then week 1 would be a very distant memory (I only recently completed the 9weeks and recall it well).
You can do it - sending positive thoughts your way. All the best for the upcoming week.
I can not run at the mo, I do very little exercise as have a desk job. Need to increase my fitness levels first to be able to jog. I am aware that once doing this properly it is one day on and one day off. Thanks for the concern though π
