You really do. Or two if that helps with work. You don't have to do this in 9 weeks exactly. There is room for fitting in with your life. But you must have rest days.
Someone else will tell you the science π
Million dollar question.. and you will get a lot of answers I feel....and the answer, honestly, is, yes..the rest days are essential. This C25K programme is so structured for a safe and enjoyable journey.
You can take extra rest days in between..and try and work out a plan to suit your job and lifestyle., maybe...? Early run??? Lunchtime run?
The trouble is, as the runs get longer, you will need those rest days even more.. I am sure you will get some more advice... from folk who maybe have had the same issue; hopefully you could work something out... I hope so tooo
I would suggest you don't do back to back runs when going through the program. Your joints and muscles need to adjust. It doesn't matter if it takes you a little longer. If your schedule is so hectic then your body will need to rest even more as it is learning something new, personally I would take the extra rest days to fit in your schedule, you are going to be a runner for a long time so start if with a solid base.
Yes, at least one days rest between runs...
The science..Laura says soππ
I Agree with Helenwheels and Oldfloss and probably everyone else on here. Rest days are essential for repair and to avoid injury.
