You really do. Or two if that helps with work. You don't have to do this in 9 weeks exactly. There is room for fitting in with your life. But you must have rest days.

Someone else will tell you the science 😎

Million dollar question.. and you will get a lot of answers I feel....and the answer, honestly, is, yes..the rest days are essential. This C25K programme is so structured for a safe and enjoyable journey.

You can take extra rest days in between..and try and work out a plan to suit your job and lifestyle., maybe...? Early run??? Lunchtime run?

The trouble is, as the runs get longer, you will need those rest days even more.. I am sure you will get some more advice... from folk who maybe have had the same issue; hopefully you could work something out... I hope so tooo :)

I would suggest you don't do back to back runs when going through the program. Your joints and muscles need to adjust. It doesn't matter if it takes you a little longer. If your schedule is so hectic then your body will need to rest even more as it is learning something new, personally I would take the extra rest days to fit in your schedule, you are going to be a runner for a long time so start if with a solid base.

Yes, at least one days rest between runs...

The science..Laura says soπŸ˜„πŸ˜†

I Agree with Helenwheels and Oldfloss and probably everyone else on here. Rest days are essential for repair and to avoid injury.

Well, you don't have to observe rest days if you really don't want. There is option b, which is called 'The Injury Couch'.
