Just finished week 6

I recently started couch to 5k again after getting to week 5 last year and struggling with injury and illness. I was overweight and wanted to use couch to 5k to take control of my health and fitness again. In May this year I decided to have another go, but this time I started by using the NHS weight loss app, to lose some weight before starting running. After losing 2 stone, I started back on couch to 5k and I have got to the end of week 6 with no problems. I am feeling better about weight and my Garmin watch is telling me that my fitness is building with every run. I am now running for 25 minutes and I am looking forward to finishing the program and being a regular runner again. Keep going everyone and be proud that you are on this journey and doing something positive for your health and wellbeing!

Hiya. Thanks for this. I'm a first-timer on C25 and today reached final run of week 4 so your post is v timely. I get some better days than others when I really don't want to step out and when I do, I kind of like it. Today was a good one.

It’s a great programme and builds your fitness with each run. I sometimes don’t feel like going out, but I make sure that I do and always feel better for it. Keep at it, it’s great that you are doing something positive for you!
