Just finished week 4

I'm a little late to the party as i had no idea this forum existed.

Prior to starting the couch to 5k, I hadn't run since PE lessons at school (That's 35 years ago).

I have a fairly active job but not active enough to keep me in shape, so when my wife started to do the couch to 5k, I decided to have a go. The first 2 weeks went well but it wasn't enjoyable, just hard work. Week 3 was much the same, but after run 2 of week 4, WOW, something happened and I now love running.

I start week 5 tomorrow, so I'll post about that next time.

Welcome to the party - pull up a chair! I think it was about week 4 where I really started feeling amazing, though I loved it from week 1. Week 5 is brilliant - it's a real turning point in confidence. Enjoy it. :)

H...im just behind you...w4r3 to do Friday. I am looking for that to be more enjoyable than todays. Keep posting as it inspires many and happy running. Has your wife graduated or do you run together?

Hi.

My wife is on week 7 now and loving it. Sometimes we run at the same time but mostly not.

Keep going, try and relax your upper body during your run, I found that helped me enormously.

Off for run 1 of week 5 now.
