Week 5 Run 2 in the bag

Well 5 weeks ago it hurt like hell to run for 60 to 90 seconds..... I've just finished my run and I think I'm starting to leave my gremlin (Kevin) behind, although my calves ached by the end of the second 8 min run it wasn't toooo painful. So pleased roll on Sunday when I take on the first 20 min run... I CAN DO IT!!! πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ˜πŸƒπŸ»

Well done! We're in the same place & I felt fantastically pleased with myself for completing my w5 d2 run yesterday. I did say "oh thank God!" out loud when the 60 seconds left announcement came at the end of my first 8 minute slog, I mean jog, though. I'm slightly dubious about my ability to run 20 minutes tomorrow - I also push my 1 year old in a jogger buggy I hasten to add & have really noticed the extra strain on my arms this week. But I'm also now convinced that this app works & whoever created it knew what they were doing as I've found myself almost chanting "trust in the app!" & thinking it wouldn't be telling me to do this if I couldn't do it yet! (Yes'I know it's not a sentient being!)

It sounds like your arms get a workout as well when you go running. Such a good way to get/ stay toned!

I've noticed I move my arms quite a lot (or it feels like it) when running solo - it somehow helps me avoid bouncing too much! - so when I'm pushing the buggy they're more stuck in the same position. However I do find running with the buggy has been great at helping me keep a slower & steadier pace.
