Who am I kidding! I'm telling everyone I meet, everyone online, just everyone! Like so many before me I didn't think it would be possible but it seems it just took a good dose of determination, together with the huge amount of knowledge and support on offrer from this forum. 20 whole minutes running (slowly). Amazing.
So on to week 6. Over half way. Wow. Today my gremlins were remarkably quiet, possibly regrouping for week 6, but maybe they are simply skulking in the shadows because of all the positivity to be found here.
I think c25k ought to begin with week 0; week 0 should be spent on the couch reading all daily posts on this forum (no rest days, 7 consecutive days reading)!!! Knowledge, support, positivity ... the benefits are amazing! Thank you everyone for helping me get this far.
Cheesy grin !!!

Well done. Great feeling, I completed mine last Wednesday. Found it a bit tough at 10 minutes, wanted to stop at 12 minutes, and at 15 minutes into the run I was comfortable again and after the 20 minutes I could have done another 5 minutes easily. As you say the Gremlins are the hardest part at this stage. I did a Parkrun on Saturday, and managed to trot along at a nice slow pace for 30 minutes without stopping. Then walked for about 400-500 meters, before running again (slowly). So those Gremlins have been firmly kicked up the ass. Starting W6R1 tomorrow and I am really looking forward to the Run/Walk. Getting over that 20 minute run is a major step in this plan.
Well done you! I'm still a runner in hiding, definitely not ready to go public yet. Maybe one day. I read about the 'toxic ten' on here - the horrible first ten minutes getting into your stride - by then I was halfway through with a belief the rest would be easier! Mind games 😀
