Just done my first C25k run with Jo Whiley urging me on. My legs are screaming at me but I'm glad I've finally started! I've done no excercise for years so this is a massive challenge for me. Next one on Monday 😊

Good for you!

Just go very slowly! If you are slow you will get round with no trouble. Don't go quick at all as you could tweak something and that would be a disaster

So, steady as you go!

Good luck and have fun! This is a great programme!

Slow and steady.. take those rest days.. a bit of other exercise too, on those days can help. Swimming, cycling or walking maybe ? Then carry on... your journey and your own pace :)

Well done! I have Jo Wiley too lol

I did my first week 2 run this morning so I'm a newbie as well.

Feels amazing knowing that it's something you CAN do. Before I started, the idea of running for a minute was scary! I walk a lot but nothing high intensity

A friend had completed Couch25k and mentioned that she concentrated on getting her breathing right, I started from the very beginning breathing in through nose and out through mouth. It really feels like it's made my runs easier to complete!

Well done and good luck! I'll be running on Monday too 😊

I chose to have Sarah Miliican for W1R1 I enjoyed it but would like her to have said a bit more such as counting down the last 10 seconds of each run.

Well done for starting to change your life.

Try these stretches. nhs.uk/Livewell/c25k/Pages/... They have been my post race ritual since W1 and I swear by them.
