Week 1 run 2 complete !

So this morning I turned over in bed when my phone reminded went off - run day ! Really didn't fancy if to begin with but have to admit my sore bits from my 1st run were all feeling much better . I laid there for 20 minutes more and decided my disappointment in myself of not going for a run would be far worse than going !! So I got up and did it . I found the run much easier- my breathing was much better and my body less stiff ! I altered my course a little - keeping to a flat surface and avoiding people . I'm now Feeling good about myself - overcoming my negativity towards running -although I do realise I have a long way to go this is really a big thing for me - I would just love to be able to run with ease and enjoy it !

I know the feeling I dragged myself out of bed for run 3 of week one, I really didn't want to be felt really good afterwards. 😊

Well done to you, I'm hoping the running with ease and enjoying it will come with time!😀

Exactly. Your sense of disappointment would be far worse if you didn't run.

Moreover, the missed opportunity is something that'll have no doubt continued to eat away at you for the remainder of the day.

The fact remains, however, you eventually threw back the duvet cover, dressed yourself and headed out the door, to find that the run was surprisingly easier than you thought it would be.

Upon returning home, your sense of personal accomplishment has lingered throughout the day (that's what running does), leading you to share your experience with the forum.

Although you may still be on week one, the fact that you're following the program earns you the right to consider yourself a runner. The only way you'll be considered a non-runner is if you stop running.
