W9r3 tomorrow morning!

Hi, I only joined this forum last week, but I complete my final run tomorrow! I was very unfit 9 weeks ago and am amazed at how fantastic the c25k programme is. I stuck to the plan religiously, and cannot believe I can now run for 30 mins. Like a lot of people on here I'm worried about keeping it going, but intend to carry on with 3 x 30 min runs per week, and try and speed up when it seems a bit easier. Can I ask if it's normal to still find the first 5 mins of the run the hardest?

Only 5 minutes... most of us find it is 10!

Good luck for tomorrow !

I'm probably not going fast enough to struggle for 10!!

Yep, im afraid so! Takes me at least 12 minutes (on a good day)! I still love it though!

Still takes me ten to fifteen minutes to get over the "what in hell am I thinking trying to run x amount of miles!"

And that's with a 10K under my belt LOL 😄

Definitely normal, for me I would say it's the first up to 10 mins and I doubt I will be able to run for any longer! then once I've got past 10 find I'm settled into it. When it's over I normally think oh that was soon over, I feel like I could have run for longer!

Good Luck for tomorrow X

Oh it's definitely a 'thing'. At anything up to about 12 minutes I am ready to throw in the towel after every step and then somewhere in the next couple of minutes everything just seems to settle.

Good luck tomorrow. Don't forget to post and tell us how it went. I shall go and get the party stuff ready. We all love a good graduation knees-up😊😊
