Yippee, I've managed to complete the programme π. ....like most, my 30mins run wasn't 5k. 2.7 miles is close, and I need something to work on or I might not run again. I have really enjoyed the challenge of each run, and I'm amazed, as I couldn't run for longer than the time set at each stage. ...and as a bonus, my face isn't as betroot as it was at the start. π³
Gonna have a week off, as I have the kids for a full week with no other adults...while my four year old can be fast, I doubt she could manage 30 mins running. I won't worry about my fitness though, it'll be like a week of interval training π

Just been reading through your posts - you're doing fab considering the niggling injury! Any twinge you experience after that you end up wondering if it's the old injury flaring up, or something else and it's hard to know what's for the best. Not that we have much choice in the matter as parents of younger folk, but I tend to lean towards staying active, but not too much so. I rolled my ankle when I started C25K back at the start of April (literally, week 1 run 3) and took a fortnight off till the pain subsided. It wasn't swollen and the pain was mild in the grand scheme of things. We did steady walks as a family during that fortnight and I wondered at the time if I was doing more harm than good. It seems to be okay now, though, so I've hopefully not buggered up my joints! How's it feeling at the moment? I know you said you're having a few days off (although, like you say, it's not going to be all sipping mimosas on a sun lounger with a 4 year old to entertain!)
Hi!! I got back yesterday, and dropped the kids to their dad today...so it was straight out for a run before collecting a Tesco shop π ... absolutely bonkers, I think it was 25oC out there! But I finished my run in the same time...partly due as I needed to collect groceries before 5pm. Not bad as it's been 11 days since my last run! I think it was the first run I didn't pay attention to my feet...I was just glad my legs kept moving π€£. A few more runs then I'll pick a day for making a long run π
