Week 7 - tough going!

Hi , I've been reading all your posts for a few weeks and found brilliant encouragement. This is my first post - I've just done w7r3 and it's been sooo tough. The only run I really felt good about was r2 - don't get me wrong I ran the full 25 minutes but was really hard. Here's hoping that w8 with 3 x 28 minutes isn't as bad 😫

Strangely enough w7r3 was by far the toughest for me and it made me really anxious about w8 - it was fine!!! If you didn't have some tougher ones sometimes, how would you appreciate just how far you have come and how amazing you are doing! 😀 Go out in a couple of days and get W8 started - you are so close now. Well done!

Thanks I think it was my first week of doubting myself - probably those pesky gremlins - I always look forward to going out for my run but would just like it to feel a teeny bit easier 🏃

I think there's a mental thing about Wk 7 onwards, as there are no more walk breaks. Some people prefer it, some don't. Just remember once you graduate, you can do whatever you like.

I remember W7R2 was the worst one I had had during the C25K, found it really hard. But then the next was miles better. Take it slow and steady, I know everyone says it but it's so true.

I've now found that the key for me is to start off really slow and find your natural pace over the first five minutes allowing your body to get ready for the run.

You can and you will do this xx Good luck for your next outing

I think I'll try and start a little bit slower (not sure that's possible!) so that I'm feeling better at the half way mark. I totally trust the programme so I know it'll get easier. Thanks for your words of wisdom - I'm now looking forward to W8R1 to prove to myself I'll be ok. 😊
