Well, week one on the IC following my shoulder surgery and I can't believe just how much I'm missing my runs.
I've been walking daily since the op although my first walk was literally ten minutes and I was worn out, probably down to the residual effect of the anaesthetic, now day 7 post op and I've managed 2 miles, including a very tiny and very slow run, but I felt rather unbalanced by the sling so thought it safer to have a bit of patience!
Anyhow, I just can't wait until I'm free of the sling and I can get back into my running togs and get back 'out there'. So frustrating

It is rotten..but you are doing the right thing and you will be back on your running journey very soon... gentle hug.. not your poorly shoulder though x
Take care, i am missing my running too but love coming on here. I'm in a similar state, four weeks on Thursday post op. It'll be a bit longer for me on the running as mine was stomach. I was told that the effects of the op take a good few weeks to leave. Be kind to yourself and safe recovery Rfcx.
