Amazingly I have completed week 7, not quite sure how that happened.

It was an ok jog I guess...my fastest slow time yet...that includes the 5 minute warm up/cool down walks...and the 3-4 minute walk to arrive at the point my warm up walk starts.

I am still not addicted... but when I did Run 2 of this week I thought I almost was...

That run was the best yet in terms of how I felt after it.. Not sure why...

Possible reasons:

1- Maybe because I didn't need to do the extra few minutes to get to the official start because of where I was

2-Maybe cos it was a different run in new place (in Caernarfon on holiday-yes I took my running shoes)

3- Maybe because the track was even more secluded than my usual trot

4-Maybe cos I ran in my cycling leggings instead of thick joggers

5- Maybe because it just was

Anyway I enjoyed it. I am hoping to run next on Sat night. . I think Piplet is going to do parkrun tomorrow... Mr Pip and I are volunteering at ours-He is still recovering from a hamstring and now might have a broken rib having fell off his bike in wales before I even got there.

I had hoped to enjoy tonights as much but it was just normal me and Stanley a wee bit too.. I did feel a little stronger than on say R7 week 1 so now got to rest then trust in the programme and tell Stanley that yes I will manage 28 minutes next week!

Well done. You forgot, however:

6- Maybe I am just getting fitter and stronger.

At this stage, any little thing can make a run feel harder than the one that preceded it, and just a few bpm difference in your heart rate can make a big difference to how comfortable you feel. You are making progress all the time though.

Ha๐Ÿ˜‚ silly me, never thought of that one... I don't feel particularly fitter but i can feel my legs are certainly getting more muscly beneath the fat... thank you for no. 6.

God I'm in a bit slow sometimes lol.๐Ÿ˜‚

Do you vary where you run MotherPip? I like to do different routes to stop me getting bored. I've just rediscovered a canal near that I can get to well within my run time and I love that one. Another one I take in a park with a beautiful lake. Also, I start my warm up walk almost from my front door. If I had to travel to my starting point, I think that would put me off. That's why I've never liked gyms ๐Ÿ˜Ÿ

To be honest I don't .. i live near a seaside promenade where I can mostly hide away from people and to get there it's about a 8-9minute walk...Up some stairs and over a railway bridge... When I'm a the top of the bridge, I launch Sarah Millican.and when's she's finished burbling and then the 5 minute warm up walk that takes me to the start of the Prom.. So basically i walk in public and jog hidden away... I think what made Wales more enjoyable was in part cos it was different and mostly even more secluded at night and felt cross country ish... I do need to try and brave public day light running as I fear once light nights come I'll never go out again until next winter

Haha. I'm surprised you hide away from people when jogging. There must be hundreds of joggers about in a place like that. Be brave and be proud! Stop hiding!

Another thing. Does the app you use play the same music over and over? Because that too can get monotonous. The app I use (similar programme to the C25K) but links your own music ๐ŸŽถ to it. It's great when a record starts to play that I haven't heard for ages. I sometimes do a little jig and even sing along to it!!

I use my own music too...Play everything on shuffle... And if i don't want to listen i can move it on via my Bluetooth headphones ๐Ÿ˜

You're doing really well.

Sometimes I think we miss out on feeling good because we're focusing on the negatives ("Everyone else is much faster than me", "I find this so hard", "Next week is going to be too hard", etc) and we miss out on the positives ("I can feel my legs are certainly getting more muscly beneath the fat" - that was your phrase and I love it, "No WAY could I have done what I've just done a few weeks ago", "That run was another decent deposit in the Bank of Strong Legs" - as someone called it on here, "I'm getting healthier and fitter all the time", "I wasn't in the mood for going out running but I went anyway; well done me!" etc...

Keep it up. You're definitely winning.

...I agree with Dunder2004 ..stronger, fitter,more relaxed..๐Ÿ™‚

Time you ditched Stanley...he is dawding behind you now..in a week or so, he won't even be there..!

Poor Mr Pip..broken ribs...I know..no fun at all โ˜น

Go you anyway..onward and upward and may your next run be as enjoyable ๐Ÿ˜ƒ
