Yes, that's right - I made it out for my second run of the week and decided I could stop being a wuss and just move on. My knee seems to be holding up well, and I'd really like to finish the plan within a year of starting it - especially since it's never taken me more than 12 weeks before! π³
Tea was just about ready when I got in from work, so that put paid to my tentative plan to go out straight away. So instead I let it settle for a couple of hours, nagged the girls to bed, and eventually escaped at 9.30. Mentally and emotionally exhausted before I even started, but knowing that a run would do me good, would make me feel better, and would generally improve everything.
So kit on and off I went. First 10 mins was all good - easier than I expected, even. And I judged it just right to avoid having to run up my nemesis incline! π That bit got covered in the walk, then off I trotted again. The first few minutes went quickly, round the highly decorated cul-de-sac - and since that takes around 3 mins I decided to go round it a second time! Then along the main road, past my road, last minute real burst of speed as I go down the incline, just enjoying the running and having FUN! Walk down to the bottom of the village and realise just how many stars are visible. Orion was shining down on me, and I would have stopped and seen what else I could spot but for the fact I'd have got very cold - and of course Laura hadn't yet told me to stop!
But yes, that's the next run successfully done. I think I need to pull myself together and just get on with this now. Enough excuses; I've got to keep going! So... Thursday?

I can see the Plough if I stand and look towards the end of our close - I know how to find it from there! Didn't stop and notice it last night; Orion was just so obviously standing watching me from over the park as I finished, it was lovely. Not just his belt, but the outer four, and his sword, and all! I love living in the countryside!
Sounds like you really enjoyed your run last night!
I was out as it got dark last night, so only saw a few stars. but I'm also planning to go out on Thursday (as the weather forecast is much better for Thursday than it is for Friday!!!). We can do it!!
Really got to hope that applies to the next one. I'm dreading leaving my lovely intervals behind and going on to non-stop running the rest of the way! :/ I mean, I know I can do it - I've graduated two or three times in the past - and I know I'll enjoy it too, but it feels like a bit of a leap from where I am at the moment. And I've been doing intervals since April, so this is comfortable for me now. Ish. It just gets serious from here on in...
