I tried, really hard, to not look at what was in store for this week and managed well until my friend sent me a message telling me! I was surprised about the first session, it sounded ok, 3 x 5mins, very 'doable'. Then she revealed run 2 (2 x 8mins) - maybe - and finally 1 x 20 min?! What? Can I possibly do that? It seems a massive leap up!
Run 1 went really well today, it actually felt good, we had to change our venue and one of the dogs had to stay on a lead (on a waist belt) but it wasn't too bad at all. I think I am starting to really believe I can do this!

Thank you! I am starting to really believe that this programme does set you up to succeed so i am hoping that will be the case for run 3, it just sounds such a massive step up! 8 minutes doesn't sound too awful, I was thinking about it as we ran today and it's only the run we did, plus the 3 minutes walk, so I 'think' that will be ok but R3 eek! I will report back!!
You can't be far behind me! I think today was the first time I really enjoyed the run, which is nothing short of a miracle! I didn't ever really think I would actually enjoy it!!
None of us looked forward to week 5 run 3, it feels like such a big leap. But we all got through it and are here on the other side! You can do this, trust in the programme
It's more mind over matter that you'll have to deal with. You'll be telling yourself that you can't do it in your head but ignore that inner voice, you are ready for it
You do not need to worry about the W5R3 - I did it this morning and, suprisingly, it was not as bad as I feared. It is possible, take it slow & have trust in Laura.
Yay, well done. I did W5 R1 last night too and although I was a bit nervous and realised I had only had one cup of coffee to drink all day (!!) I managed. However i'll never run on so little fluid again.
