Wk8 Day3 done at last!

Gremlin Steve opened a bleary eye this morning as I opened the curtains to check the weather. "Whatcha doin?" he asked, "checking to see if I need my wet weather gear" I replied. "Oh no, you're not going for a run? but you have a cold! didn't I just hear you have a sneezing fit and you know you still have a gippy tummy" he whinged. "and your point is Steve?" I replied. So Steve well and truly told off, I got into my kit, worked up a sweat putting on my running shoes, got the app and music prepared and headed for the door and so day 3 of week 8 started. Ok so I was going slow, slower and even slower and friendly snails waved to me as they went whizzing past but I was out there and running, lapping everyone sitting on the couch. The first 10 minutes dragged a bit but then the adrenalin kicked in, my muscles warmed up and I was away. Thankfully I run solo so no-one could hear me singing along to Peter Gabriel and the Dixie Chicks but together we got through the run and then finally Fame by David Bowie came on and I was at the end of my run. I looped the run to vary the route a bit so I ended up having to walk further to get home but I now feel so exhilarated that I have finally finished week 8. Week 9 starts on Wed and then it's only two more runs to graduation after that - whoo hooo

Yup, the hard work's done, you're on the home straight now. Yes it's slightly uphill, just to make it interesting, but that's just a mental challenge and you've got that sorted.
