Feral Weather ! Wk8 R1 done.

Completed my first run of week 8 this morning in the worst weather I have ever run in ! The Tour De Yorkshire is finishing in my home town today with the womens race first followed by the men's. If you have seen them on tv today you will know what I mean. Ran along the seafront had a head wind for the last half of the run plus sand and wind whipped into my face and got drenched at the end . Managed to keep running although it would have been so easy to just give up !

Congratulations on completing run 1 of week 8 dispite the bad weather, yes I know cycling in nasty weather is horrible, same goes for running as well, great job not giving in to the elements. .

Thanks AlMorr it was a brutal run but worth it. Can't believe I'm only 3 minutes off the target of 30 mins !!

Thanks Debston glad they are not all going to be like that! Good luck to you in week 8. It didn't feel a lot different to week 7 today on my first run.

Well done. Must be fab running when the weather is nice on the sea front. Lucky you. I’m in the middle of the country so no chance of that 😢

Thanks Jelly-bean16 yes I agree I'm very lucky to be able to run down there and that's what's kept me going. Since week 5 when the running times increased I've done all my runs on the promenade. Hope you are still enjoying your running although your last post you had issues with your ankle. Hope they have settled down.

You’re right, my ankle was so sore that was worried couldn’t complete but after 3 days rest, new running shoes and ankle support was soon better - thank you - and graduated yesterday 😀. I often think I’ll post something but then someone beats me to whatever I was going to say so I just add to their post 👍
