Well, I did say I'd let you know how I got on and after all my whinging about Week 7, today I'm glad to say that I'm back feeling confident in my ability to Graduate next week.
I didn't consciously slow it down but I guess I did because I still had enough energy to give it some welly for the last five minutes. One is pleased with oneself
Going back to my pre-week 7 route helped a lot as there are no inclines and I know how far I have to reach geographically for every 5 minutes of the run - I think I find the visual landmarks as reassuring as the audio ones on the podcast but I'll need to move on from that if I want to eventually get to 5k as I'm only plodding at the moment - but I'll deal with that after Week 9 thank you!
Anyway, thanks to all those who encouraged me to go for week 8 rather than staying on week 7 - you pushed me to do the right thing and I'm really pleased I listened.

Yeahhhhhhh. Brilliant run, well done on putting down those self doubt gremlins. Just five runs until graduation.........we are waiting to party with you! McFitty pulls together a terrific celebration! All we need from you is a post to say all runs done.
Well done, tractorman! There's plenty of time in your future running to tackle inclines and hills - for now, keep to the flat routes if that's what helps to get you through So nearly there now...
Great news! Well done! Happy running on to your graduation next week! Keep it slow and steady, don't go off too fast, savour every step, enjoy the reassurance of those landmarks and don't forget to smile! ππ»ππ»ππΌββοΈππ»ππΌββοΈππ»ππ
