Week 7 completed? How this this happen?

I don't know how it happened, but I ran the last run of week 7 earlier tonight. It felt like a very fast week, even if I had an extra day off.

The run today was wonderful. Oh my gosh was it wonderful! It was windy and it was raining a little, perfect weather for running.

I kept telling myself that soon, I'll get that tense feeling in my calves, but then it will level out and I'll be fine. Only, today it didn't come. Sure, after 15 minutes of running, I felt that my calves were working, but not at all like they usually feel like. I even had energy left to pick up the pace on the last five minutes. It was so nice! And no stitch and no numbness in the right leg. I really hope more runs will feel like that, it was an absolute joy!

My spouse came with me today, and it felt much better this time. I didn't feel like I had a stalker running after me. (But I did imagine him being a zombie out to get me during the last five minutes :D) But then again, everything felt better today for some reason.

I'm looking forward to week 8 and adding a couple more minutes on my running time.

Hope you are all well and having happy runs!

Well Done, We are in the same place - I start week 8 tomorrow. Pat on the back for you and thanks to those who set up this programme.

I never fail to be surprised at achieving the next goal. My friends are totally amazed that Someone can go from zero running experience to 25 mins and around 3k in 7 weeks..

Thank you! And well done you as well!

Yes, it really is amazing when you look back and see how much we've progressed in a short amount of time.

Hope your run tomorrow goes great and thanks for replying!

What a lovely post! Congratulations and well done! I just did week 7 run 1 and found it a bit hard going, so your post has given me a boost :-)

Awwe, thank you!

Yes, the first two runs of week 7 were pretty hard for me as well, but keep at it and I'm sure it'll feel better for you as well.

Happy running and thank you for your reply!

Today I'm having a rest day, I forgot about that when I replied to you (and I'm only a tiny bit sore today after yesterdays run), but tomorrow I'll give the first run of week 8 a go. I hope it doesn't feel too much harder than the runs in week 7, but I guess we'll see.

Thanks for asking and happy running!

Hi Nenenene. Good luck with your run today. Lovely weather in Southsea so I decided to start at the Parkrun route on the prom and turn around at the half way bell. I really noticed the extra 3 minutes but got through it. Hubby thinks I did 2/3rds of the 5 k route and went faster than I do on the treadmill. Was so happy to do it that we went to the running shop and bought some proper running shoes with the supporting arches that I need. The next treat will be some new capris - mine are easing down as I run..... not a good look. 🏃‍♀️😎

Thank you!

The run today was okay. It was hard work with those extra three minutes for me too, but I'm happy I pushed on and completed the run. And well done on you for finishing the run!

It's fun to treat your self to new running shoes, I'm aiming for treating my self with new shoes after I've completed the program. And getting new running capris because you've gotten more toned is a nice "problem" to have :).

Happy running och thanks for thinking about me!
