Just back from my only run this week - a slowish 4k. I was a bit cautious because on my last run/walk a week ago, I ended up with pain in one knee and the opposite foot. On that occasion, I'd dropped my buff out of my pocket and didn't discover this until I was about 1k from home. As I was on a quiet towpath I decided to turn back for it - it's a nice one that I bought in France. Well, I found it close to the point where I had turned round, at the furthest part of my run - of course! The path was icy as well as muddy and I walked a lot of it, slithering about. Hence the knee and foot pain I think.
Today's run was much better - a sunny afternoon, 5 degrees, quiet along the country roads and towpath. I was on a country road when a string of half a dozen cyclists came towards me - and the first one shouted 'runner!' to warn the others. I thought: oh - yes I am! 😀 No-one's actually called me a runner before (except for Laura). Quite chuffed with that 😀
