Hi everyone. I am New to this forum but am starting week 5 tomorrow to my utter surprise. I only want to lose one stone, but more importantly want to get fitter and have more energy -and look better!

So far I have lost 1lb and 1 and a half Inches around my waist. My wedding ring is looser, too.

My main worry is having to stop next month when I have a hysterectomy and having to start all over again. However, I'm thinking, if I can do it once, I can do it again.

Well done for starting and your weight loss so far. I completed Couch to 5k in the summer but then stopped running and have now just completed it for the second time. Sometimes it's easier when you start again because you already know you can achieve it and there's less doubt!

Too true you can. Listen to your clinical team and your body. Then there is no reason for you not to make a come back. My daughter had a kidney transplant late October and she is now finishing week 3 , enjoying every moment! If she can do it I'm sure you can🏃🏻‍♀️😀👍🏼

Thank you, Jacs-W. I will do. I hope your daughter continues to go from strength to strength.

Just build slowly after surgery.

Walk.

Walk further.

Walk faster.

Then back to the programme. Good luck😀👍🏼

Many of us have had to redo the program after illness or injury. It works even better the second time around as you already know how great it feels. I think of my running as a journey, not a final destination.

Welcome! Sounds like you're doing great. You have the absolute right attitude that, if you manage it now then you'll know you'll be able to do it once you recover and those mental hurdles will be purely little tiny steps. :)
