Feeling absolutely Fabulous Wk 5 Day 1

I had to give myself a big pat on the back today when at the start of run 2, Michael announced that this was my 5th week of running & found myself answering him with a big NO when he asked if I'd thought at the beginning of week 1 I would be running this long & far in week 5. I should have started week 5 yesterday but had to defer to this morning due to insufficient time after work yesterday. No gremlins when I woke up - Steve was still snoring when I went out & he didn't wake up until just into the last run when he started whinging and suggesting that I slow down to a walk but the Michael's dulcet tones came on.....keep going, imagine that finishing line. Well, Steve got kicked into touch & I imagined the finishing line at the end of the path & I went for it.....whoo hooo I did it! It is definitely getting easier and watching a beautiful sunrise as I finished was the icing on the cake. Time for hot shower & a good breakfast. Have a great day everyone xx (PS photo is me at the end of the session)

Well done! I start week 5 tomorrow. I've only lost 1lb so far (at the top end of my BMI), but lost one and a half inches around my waist, which makes me carry on...and my wedding ring is looser. Have you noticed any differences yet? I guess the main one I am feeling is fitter though.

How much do you hope to lose? I want to lose about 1 stone in total and get back into size 10!

Yes my wedding ring is looser, lost 3.5lb & my clothes are looser too. I have also noticed that I can walk faster & further and walking up inclines is much easier. I have a stoner loose & am watching my diet too. 😊

Me too..it's great, isn't it? Just the motivation to carry on. Good luck with the rest of the week...I am sure we can both run for 20 minutes by the end of next week! Imagine how we'll feel then.
