W3R3 "Another midnight run!"

Started warming up at 00:25, 0°C and it was a great run!

Why? I hadn't thought of covering my ears during these cold runs.

.

A simple knitted hat made a huge difference!

I might even look into getting a good hat.

.

Peaceful, quite and clear conditions with occasional cars. 1/2 hour, had a shower and back to bed under a cosy duvet!

.

My app seems to think I have missed the original schedule by two days! Need to tinker with it.

.

Already dreading the 5 min long run on W4R1. Hope it will be a smooth one.

This time of year a hat makes a world of difference! It's worth the expense to buy a running hat (made of wicking material) that will stop your head getting too 'moist'. Just never take them off during a run! (Putting them back on when they have gone cold is gross...)

You are doing brilliantly - keep it up :) .

Hats! Wonderful.. I think there ought to be hat banks where folk can help themselves to them.( Like the bicycles left around in Amsterdam).. I never run without mine!

Thermal one for winter and a cap with large brim for sunny and wet days!

Go you! Looks exciting and challenging... well done.. :)

Whoa. Thanks.

A winter one and a summer one. Hadn't thought of that. Will have to look into it.

The only time I've ever worn a hat to run in was a Santa hat in the Santa Run last month! But many runners love them.

At parkrun on Saturday it was very cold and one lady had frost on top of her hat at the end!

Well done on your midnight run. You're really doing this! :)

It did get a little too hot by the end. I am suspecting that's because it was a knitted hat and it just provides too much insulation.

I have many great warm hats but for a running hat I like a buff, twisted appropriately.

Thanks. I will have to look into it. 🎩 :)

Well done! You are done great 😃

I usually just wear a buff folded down to cover my ears but it leaves my head open for the heat to escape 🙂 Run cap for when it rains. Keep your ears covered then the rest of you feels toasty 🙂

Don't dread your runs 🙂 Go very steadily and they will all be do-able. Come on 😀

Thanks, I might experiment covering just the ears. It does get too hot covering the whole head.

I'm a late night runner too (although have never done a midnight run)! I love it and am a bit of a night owl anyway so always feel by most energised late late evening. Don't dread W4R1. The programme has prepared you, you can do it!
