So today was the 2nd full 5K run, and I have to say that it was possibly the calmest run I have had till date. I didn't go out to break any records or distances, I simply went out to run and enjoy it. This is exactly what I ended up doing .
Again it was a solo run, this allowed me to concentrate on my running form. I could see that my mind was working more on the posture today and hopefully after a few more outings everything will have gelled together.
I must admit from being a health check and a form of exercise, it has now become something of a passion. I actually look forward to my running day now, analysing the weather in the morning, getting the right food into me, the fuel snack just before the run, etc and then the run itself. OMG! I'm turning into a running geek!! .
The best bit is being able to share it all with you guys n girls, knowing we are all on the same ARK!
Thanks for dropping by, until next time have fun, enjoy your runs!!

Thank you. My personal fav is a slice of toasted brown bread, smothered with honey and peanut butter. I generally try and get this down me an hour before the run. If not a banana or a homemade energy bar.
It is great isn't it, not to feel pressured and to run just for the pure joy of it. You are able to concentrate on style and form more, I found that, and focus on the bits you need to improve on. All without the time constraints. I really miss the days I cannot run.
Oh dear.. we are lost causes, but what a great cause it is!
It's rather therapeutic in a strange way, you lock yourself into your own world, run the days stresses out of your body, and finish off quite revitalised, knackered but revitalised.. .
It is brilliant. Have had such an incredibly stressful week and felt completely shattered but my daughter prodded me out the door for my run last night and it was great. All the feelings of stress are gone, slept well and am ready to run again. If you don't get a running injury along the way, it is the easiest regular form of exercise to get into. You don't need a lot of expensive equipment, coaching, team-mates, no set times. Wish I had got into it earlier.
