Finally had a chance to complete week 2 after postponing the final session yesterday. With the pavements too slippery and the park boggy I didn't feel it was going to be safe to run, being accident prone at the best of times. But today, thanks to a very chilly night, the ground was frozen solid. So I headed off up the park after work.
I gingerly started out on the warm up walk and the ground felt OK. When Laura gave the cue off I trundled. It wasn't easy, the legs felt heavy but after more huffing and puffing I was at the cool down walk before I knew it. Loved the crunchy noise from the snow as I went along. Something very satisfying about it.
Pleased I managed to get out there today. Looking forward to Week 3 kicking off on Monday

I know what you mean I just downloaded the podcast, I've said to hubby that he might need to put oxygen by the front door for when I get home lol. We can do this. Just got to pace it right x
Excellent post! Well done! Sounds like you had a great run! It's a great sound isn't it? When I was 2 we had lots of snow, I loved going outside in it, trouble was, it would all fall inside my wellies because I was so small! Didn't bother me, but I now understand why my mum insisted I take them off outside the front door. Little mounds of snow would come out of them as I removed them! Happy running to you! 👏🏻👏🏻🏃🏼♀️🏃🏻🏃🏼♀️🏃🏻😀😀
Well Done! W3 for me on Monday too - hope that blooming wind drops and it warms up a bit, legs seem heavier in the cold, and at 6 stone overweight they're heavy enough already...xx
Oh I love that crunch too! If you can get out early in the morning or just after the snow falls, the air feels so much cleaner too. I love making a trail through untouched snow but you need to get up early here to beat the taboggans
I had a run in the snow yesterday - I love that crunch, crunch sound! The sun even came out so it was quite warm, lovely. My spaniel loves the snow too! Best of luck with week 3
